Pop in to the Guild
This update plugs directly into the core of the Invention skill—no extra unlocks or hoops to jump through!
From the get go, you can disassemble items listed below for your first new component, Offcuts! For the Manufactured component, you'll need to discover them at the Invention Bench first alongside the shiny new main-hands at their respective levels. The brand new perks are tied to these components, so your best starting point is to head over to the Invention Guild, just north of the Falador Lodestone.
Oh—and keep your eyes peeled. There’s a shady character lurking near the Guild who wants to get their hand on those new Skilling Mainhands.

Spare Components
Fresh off the disassembly line are 2 new components, "Offcut" & "Manufactured".
Offcut
"Offcuts" components are an Uncommon material. These leftover bits are made from disassembling Flatpacks, Hunter Gear & Furs.
Manufactured
"Manufactured" components are a Rare material. These well made and reliable materials come from disassembling Wood & Ore Boxes, Runecrafting Talismans & Tiaras, Necroplasm alongside Primal Crossbows, Eternal Shortbows & Iron to Primal equipment from Smithing.
Perk of the Work
When you are done gathering the components you can start assembling them into new perks! All of these perks are beneficial with no negative perks involved - but they might require a little extra thought in how to use them effectively.
Additionally the Polishing and Cheapskate perks will now include Runecrafting offering a chance when binding a rune to upgrade or downgrade to the next tier of rune. This works on both Regular runes (Air, mind, water, earth, fire, body, cosmic, chaos, astral, nature, law, death, blood, soul, time. in that order) and Necrotic runes (spirit, bone, flesh, miasma in that order)
We look forward to seeing how these new perks will shake up how players approach different skills! Maybe you're an archeologist who wants many more artefacts for your Guild rank ups? Hasty and Preservationist can help speed that up.
Looking to maximise those mining/fishing/woodcutting trips? Then grab Naturalist and take advantage of additional buffs. Play around with all these new perk combinations and find a setup that suits your playstyle!
Tools of the Trade
Speaking of best perk combinations, 2 more skills get to join the fray with new Skilling Mainhand items for both Runecrafting and Thieving! These wieldable items offer you additional bonuses for their relevant skills across two different tiers, and can also be augmented to boost their impact on your skilling.
