Beneath Cursed Tides | Intermediate Quest
Our quest this month focuses on an old favourite - Tutorial Island. I’m sure that many of you, like me, started your RuneScape career on that lonely island, killing rats and burning bread for its helpful residents.
A few years ago, the island mysteriously vanished and Myrtle from the Wizards’ Tower is keen to find out why. In Beneath Cursed Tides, you’ll be searching for survivors and working with Vannaka, journeying to the bottom of the sea to investigate the islands watery fate. A dark tale awaits. Expect a journey full of teary nostalgia and classic humour.
As a special Christmas treat, this quest will be open to both free players and members! Requirements are pretty low, with a bunch of skills at level 30 needed to complete this Atlantis -like experience.
The rewards are certainly not for noobs though. You’ll gain access to a new monthly task that gives out loads of Fishing and Farming XP, as well as some tasty loot and a cool new sword override just like Vannaka’s!

The Pinch who Stole Christmas | Holiday Quest
That’s not the only adventure on offer this month – we’ve got an exciting four-part Christmas quest for you too. Throughout December you’ll gain access to one part a week as once again you strive to save Christmas!
Santa, Jack Frost and others have gone missing after popping off to investigate a strange iceberg covered in presents. Team up with your jolly snow-imp pals to find them and unlock some temporary training areas as you do.
Master Quest Cape
Talking of quests, we know that you’ve been talking about a trimmed quest cape for some time. Well, you’re not gonna get it… you’re getting something better! How about a Master Quest Cape?
It’s fiendishly difficult to earn. You’ll need to complete every mini-quest, earn every post-quest reward, unlock every journal page and uncover all the extra story stuff that fills all our wonderful quests and lore. It will be available in the Varrock Museum and looks appropriately awesome.
Winter Weekends & Advent Calendar
Every weekend throughout December and the Christmas period will be full of special events, offering you a sack-load of special boosts and buffs. Just click on the snowman and head in game to find out more! There are 6 cracking Christmas weekends in total, so there’s sure to be something for everyone, with almost every part of the game wrapped up in some way.
Christmas fun isn’t restricted to the weekends, oh no. Each day of December you’ll be able to take part in our special advent calendar, with a different gift every day! Each gift reveals which sought after prizes can be won in that day’s Treasure Hunter, so make sure you visit every day.
Our community team has also got a sleigh-full of festive cheer planned, so watch out for more details on that, coming up soon.
Premier Club
December sees the launch of our special Premier Club for 2016. This is a unique membership package that gets you your yearly subscription and some fantastic rewards to use while playing. This year it’s even bigger than normal to help us celebrate our amazing 15-year anniversary next year.
