Game Engine Q&A – Time Update

We’ve made some changes to the schedule for the Game Engine Q&A announced earlier this week. The Game Engine Q&A is now at 5.30pm-7.30pm BST on Friday the 13th of April. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

We’ll still be holding a Q&A at 8pm-11pm BST on the same day, though. Join us then to put your questions to the developers behind the upcoming Runespan and Fremennik Sagas II. You’re now getting 2 for the price of one!

The Game Engine developers on hand from 5.30 to 7.30 will be those listed below:

Mod Philip works on maintaining and updating the core infrastructure on which RuneScape runs. He’s also done a lot of important work on our anti-botting updates.

Mod Chris E worked on the creation of the latest RuneScape graphics engine: RuneTek 5. He’s helped to make our latest graphical updates possible.

Mod Michael was one of the first engine developers to join Andrew Gower’s team. He helped to lay many of the foundations upon which RuneScape is built, and still works on the core engine.

Also on 13th April 2012, from 8pm-11pm, not one but two developers will be here, talking about two of the updates mentioned in April's Behind the Scenes.

Mod Pi is the developer behind the the Runespan update.

Mod Giragast is the developer behind the Fremennik Sagas II.

This is your chance to hear about what happens under the hood, and behind two fantastic upcoming updates, so start thinking of questions now! Even if you can’t make it to the Q&As themselves, be sure to keep an eye on the forums as we’ll be posting a transcript of the sessions.

See our dedicated threads for further details: here for Game Engine, and here for Content Developers. If you live in a different time zone, this time conversion thread can help you to work out when the Q&A will be happening in your local time.
