The GameJam at the beginning of the year saw Mods Ayiza and Sween sit down to talk to Mods Arcane and Kieren in a bit of a podcast format. You might be thinking, "who cares, spend your GameJam making something cool like the rest of the team did!", and we'd say "yeah, fair enough".
There are a ton of great OSRS-centered podcasts which have featured J-Mods and content creators, and we didn't set out to reinvent the wheel with this. We wanted to do something a bit different.
We're able to look back at a time before when the Old School team was much smaller, and you could get a feel for who the J-Mods were and what made them tick by tuning into the weekly livestreams hosted by Mod Archie in the studio. We've got fond memories of these times (and our hairlines), but naturally we do prefer having a much larger team able to work on many more projects, and a team that's empowered to work fully remotely.
That said, we set out to see if we could recreate any of this magic from yesteryear. This is the last of the podcast pilot episodes! In this episode you'll get some time with Mod Kieren and hear his thoughts on a huge range of topics. You may notice that some of the discussion topics are quite dated, that's because these were recorded many months ago. A combination of having other priorities and being pretty pants meant that you're only seeing them now.
We really enjoyed filming them and your reception to the first pilot with Arcane was amazing to see. Unless you absolutely hate this one, we're very pleased to confirm that we'll be recording more! We're not sure when, but we're intent on bringing you more J-Mods (and possibly some Creators and other well-known players). We'll also be getting the two episodes onto other podcast platforms too.
For the time-being let us know in the YouTube comments whether you'd be interested in seeing more, and who you'd like to see on future episodes!
