Your NIS Design Competition

Your NIS Design Competition

With the New Interface System (NIS) Alpha launch, we have listened, modified and adapted to your feedback, and it’s time to show what you can do with the system you're helping to create! We want you to show us what your NIS interface looks like by either submitting a video to us or taking a screenshot of your design layout and explaining your reasoning behind it.

If your design grabs the eyes and hearts of the NIS dev team, it will be placed in as a default layout in game for the rest of the community to enjoy and awe at!

Who will judge the competition?

All the NIS developers will be taking part in picking their favourite designs by the community. They will be looking for creativity & usability, along with reasoning behind your designs.

What will I win?

The winner of this epic design competition will have their creation placed as a default NIS layout; meaning their design and display name will be forever glorified within RuneScape history!

They will also receive:

  • Lifetime membership.
  • 2500 RuneCoins.
  • A massive shout-out in a future Community Round-Up news post.

Is there a runner-up prize?

We will pick one runner-up, who will receive:

  • 500 RuneCoins.
  • A massive shout-out in a future Community Round-Up news post.
  • 6 months of membership.

How do I submit either my video or images?

Video submissions: If you are making a video, please make it no more than one minute long, and explain the reasoning behind your design in a clear and descriptive manner. Please provide a URL to the video in the email.

Image submission: When submitting your image, please make sure you include a brief description of why you have chosen your layout.

Where should I send my entry?

Please send your entry to competitions@jagex.com along with your in-game username and the title of the email as 'My NIS Layout'.

When will the competition end?

This awesome competition will end on the 15th June at midnight.

Best of luck!
